Metal Replacement Components (Plastic to Metal)
ITW Filtration expertise does not stop in the design of filter components. Our expertise also continues in the design and development of replacing metal machined components with lighter weight and less costly plastic housings and valves.
These metal replacement components typically require highly engineered thermoplastic resins. The thermal stability and structural strength requirements may demand the use of Nylon 4/6, PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide), PPA (Polyphthalamide), and PEEK (Polyetheretherketone).
ITW Filtration also provides solutions which incorporate stainless steel woven mesh into the design of the metal replacement components. These ideas allow our customers more system design flexibility and potential cost and assembly savings.
