ITW Filtration Products has been awarded numerous patents in the design and manufacturing of filtration components. Our engineers and manufacturing staff strive on using innovative thinking to keep products and processes on the cutting edge of technology. ITW is also able to apply patents from our sister divisions to help improve our current products and processes.
ITW Filtration Products has the ability to build prototype tools quickly and cost efficiently. These prototype tools and prototype parts help our customers improve their designs and assemblies. These prototype tools also help ITW identify, reduce, and eliminate problems that might arise before production even begins.
Rapid prototyping can also be used for quick evaluation of part designs (form and fit). These techniques include SLA (Stereolithography) and SLS (Selective Laser Sintering).
ITW Filtration engineers also work closely with resin suppliers to utilize the highly engineered thermoplastic resins. These resins are typically used when the filter component is also used for other function purposes. These situations include replacing metal parts with highly engineered plastics, such as PPS (Polyphenylene Sulfide) and PPA (Polyphthalamide).
